Larkin Joline&#8217;s bequest to Barnard.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 1923, the manuscript has been in the collections of Barnard College, thanks to Mary E. Larkin Joline&#8217;s interest in promoting musical education. Part of her bequest to Barnard upon her death in 1926 includes an additional $10000 to be used for the care of the musical instruments and manuscripts which Mary Joline presented to the college in 1923 &#8212; Barnard 1 included. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2010 the manuscript was moved to the holdings of Columbia&#8217;s Rare Books and Manuscripts Library for preservation and study.
